Amanda Fisher CTA, ATT (Fellow), TEP ~ Senior Partner and Director

Amanda heads up the team at ajftaxation. After beginning her career with HM Revenue and Customs, she moved into practice and qualified while working with a national firm. Amanda has more than 30 years of experience in dealing with private clients and their businesses, trusts and estates.

Amanda created ajftaxation in 2004 and enjoys working with clients; getting to know them and helping them towards their personal and business goals. She also regularly works as a consultant to firms and practitioners on an array of tax matters, specialising in capital taxes, trusts and estate matters.

Tax Lecturing – You will often find Amanda presenting a tax lecture on the CPD circuit. She has been lecturing on tax matters to experienced practitioners since 2008, and is confident in providing technical updates and relevant contribution to tax efficiency within case studies, helping many other practitioners remain compliant and proactive.
Tax Guidance – Amanda has devoted time to many committees, for the benefit and furtherance of taxation. These include:
– Association of Taxation Technicians – exam steering committee, to assist in the compliance of student exams
– Probate committee for STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners)
– The Legal Services Party for probate activities for ICAEW, which was instrumental towards providing members with authorisation to deal with probate work and activities

She has served and provided much time to the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), and is currently the Branch Chair for Thames Valley Branch. This role includes assisting the charities with the support and education of tax practitioners around the country.
