Amanda Fisher - Tax Consultant - CTA, ATT (Fellow), TEP

Amanda is the Founder of ajftaxation and she heads up the team in the practice.

After beginning her tax career with HM Revenue and Customs, she moved into practice and qualified whilst working with a trusted national firm.  Amanda has more than 30 years of experience in dealing with private clients and their businesses, trusts and estates.

Amanda founded ajftaxation with the objective of providing quality and a valued connection to clients.  She enjoys working with clients, getting to know them and helping them towards their personal and business goals.

She has now grown the firm and taken on new staff, who are likeminded individuals.  Amanda’s ethos is to nurture all staff in the practice and create a pro-active environment for personal development.  Amanda’s ethos is to look after and value the people she works with – happy staff, happy clients.

In her years of working in practice, Amanda has also spent considerable time in other roles and has become a trusted advisor to many tax professionals and accounting firms;

Amanda regularly works as a consultant to other accounting firms and practitioners on an array of tax matters, specialising in capital taxes, trusts and estate matters.

Tax Lecturer

You will often find Amanda presenting a tax lecture on the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) circuit.

She has been lecturing on tax matters to experienced practitioners since 2008, and is confident in providing technical updates and relevant examples of tax efficiency within case studies, helping practitioners remain compliant and proactive.

Amanda has travelled around the UK and abroad and speaking for both public courses and in-house requirements on a wide range of taxes.

Tax Guidance

Amanda has devoted time to many committees, for the benefit and promotion of reliable taxation. These include;

The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) – the exam steering committee, assisting in the compliance of student exams
The Probate committee for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
The Legal Services Party for probate activities for ICAEW, which was instrumental towards providing members with authorisation to deal with probate work and activities.
Amanda has also served and dedicated much time to the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and is currently the Branch Chair for Thames Valley Branch. This role includes assisting the charities with the support and education of tax practitioners around the country.

Amanda is currently the Chair for the Thames Valley Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Taxation Technicians.
